In 1845 Bernardino Branca created what was to become the world-famous Fernet-Branca amaro and founded the company Fratelli Branca.
A newspaper advertisement from 1865 claimed this “renowned liqueur” to be “febrifuge, vermifuge, tonic, invigorating, warming and anti-choleric”.
The drink’s numerous medicinal claims came in handy during the American prohibition; as a medicine, Fernet-Branca was still legal. Today, many people claim that Fernet is an excellent digestive aid and hangover cure.
The rich sensations of dozens of herbs and spices are picked in four continents. The secrets of a recipe wisely cherised for five generations. The fragrence of oak barrels, a perfectly balanced blend of flavors matured for twelve months. Take your time to savor the superbly bitter taste of Fernet-Branca.
